Why? How is it different from a school concessions stand manned entirely by children? Or a car wash where the kids are washing the cars? I’ve only ever seen a takeover once in person, for about 4 hours on a Saturday, but that business was known for doing these takeovers.

They get money for their uniforms or a trip or whatever, the business gets a little publicity but honestly it’s generally because the franchise owner is investing in the community, and the business usually ALSO donates on top of the “worked” time. Like what’s it called… Boosters?

I don’t see a problem with it aside from the systemic issues of capitalism but this is nowhere near orphan crushing machine material.

Using that model, explain how boy scouts should afford to camp, and to donate to the SPCA. Both options are CRAZY expensive, and when I was a kid it was the only way we could afford me going camping.
