Resolution calling for end to the attacks on shipping vessels by Yemen’s Houthis was adopted despite abstentions from Russia and China

The UN security council has called for an immediate end to attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on shipping in the Red Sea, adopting a resolution despite abstentions from Russia and China.

The resolution also called on the Houthis to release the Galaxy Leader, a Japanese-operated vehicle carrier linked to an Israeli businessman that the group commandeered on 19 November, along with its 25 crew.

US Central Command said there have been 26 Houthi strikes on shipping since then, causing shipping companies to bypass the route and instead divert around South Africa’s Cape of Good Hope, significantly adding to journey times and cost.

Let’s start with the first step, stopping genocide, where objectively the majority of those killed are women and children, and in most cases where the average age of them is younger than when the last elections were held, that brought Hamas into a position of wielding some, but not representative power.

So you don’t have an answer either. I know I don’t have an answer. In war, civilians are always impacted. Should Israel not have responded to Hamas’ terrorist attack? Also, when are wars “over”?

Also, if Israel was really trying to genocide Palestinians, you can’t honestly think the casualty numbers would be anywhere near where they are.

You can’t just ignore their answer and say they don’t have one just because you don’t like it. Besides, it’s a nonsense question, like “What’s your answer to stopping Indian attacks?” during the US’s settler colonialist period of western expansion and manifest destiny.

Israel can stop their oppression of Palestine and allow their citizens actual sovereignty and you’ve already cut off the source of Hamas support. You can even trade hostages for this. But the truth is, Israel cares more about the land they’re sitting on and getting rid of the people on it then they do about their hostages.

Israel can’t immediately kill everyone because they have to pretend they are the good guys for the US. But they are killing as fast as they can right below that line. Nazi Germany and the US did the same thing. First, gathering their targeted ethnicities in ghettos, then using their retaliation as evidence of the necessity for slaughter and displacement, then repeat and continue until they’re all gone. It took the US hundreds of years to do their genocide, but nobody denies it was one.

Btw, this isn’t a war, it’s an occupation and ethnic cleansing. It’s why one side has tens of thousands of civilian deaths and the other side doesn’t.

1% of all Gazans have been confirmed killed. Many more are buried under rubble or otherwise missing. What else do you fucking want?

And by the way, what Israel should’ve done is stop their occupation of Palestinian lands. There’s a reason Gaza is considered occupied under international law.

Hamas is an army of orphans. If there weren’t so many orphans in Gaza there wouldnt be Hamas. That’s a good step in the right direction I think, stop orphaning kids.
