    Can we also take a minute to appreciate the guy that invented the lead additive and pushed for its adoption despite knowing the risks? I forgot his name but that fucker should live on in infamy.

      Thomas Midgley, Jr.

      Also invented CFCs (the stuff that put the hole in the ozone layer).

      In his later years, he had limited mobility, so he designed a system of pulleys and levers to give him some degree of independence. Eventually, he was found strangled by his contraption.

        Well it’s only fitting that one of his inventions should eventually be his downfall. Unfortunately it’s was the wrong one, and a little too late.
