My parents generation could. Climate change is doing significant damage, and it’s just getting started. But yeah, I’m less likely to be murdered. I got that going for me, which is nice.
Many people are wrong, the world has only gotten safer. We live in the safest moment in human history, but that can be hard for people to accept because we are hyper-aware of all the problems in the world.
Depends how you measure “safety”.
