minus-squareGormadtlinkfedilink3•1 year agoDoors can have a notch in the hinge (like a car door) so that once it opens far enough it will stay open until pulled. The doors at my work (that close due to springs) also have that notch.
Additionally I might want it open for an extended period of time, such as loading or unloading a lot of items
