The latest on a government shutdown: Today is the last day for Congress to fund the government. A shutdown will begin at 12:01 a.m. if they do not act. House Republicans failed to pass their short-term spending bill on Thursday in an embarrassing defeat that makes a shutdown more likely. The Senate is still working on a bipartisan bill to keep the government open through Nov. 17. That is expected to pass overwhelmingly, but some Republican opposition means it is unlikely to pass until after the deadline. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., suggested Friday night that he might be open to the Senate’s bill, but only if they strip out funding for Ukraine. The Senate returns at noon today. No votes are scheduled in the House, but members have been advised to be on Capitol Hill.

I’m here to contribute to the discussion, not farm karma using American politics stories. If this post is a call to action of any Americans here that have not done so, yet - I understand. Otherwise, it still comes off, to me, as a sensationalization/clickbait of something very few American voter have practical control over.

Karma? US politics will have a exponential result in the outcome of the Ukrainian war, I m not interested in Karma, i m interested in the safety of the people fighting in Ukraine and the safe heaven that is Europe, and we all depend on Politics on the US, I kind of don’t have more conversation with pro Russians to waste time having discussion about the “sex of angels” so i try to connect dots and information and leave it for the reader to take a time to reed it and make up his ideas about the subject, now if you don’t think USA politics are connected with the outcome of war in Ukraine, my dear friend i have a tall bridge to sale to you
