From Europe to Africa to southeast Asia, tens of thousands of climate activists around the world launched protests Friday to call for an end to the burning of planet-warming fossil fuels as Earth suffers from dramatic weather extremes.
A big protest like this isn’t so much an appeal to narcissists, as a means of providing social proof that a lot of people want to get off fossil fuels. This helps bring more people onboard, and signals to politicians that it’s a way to earn votes.
Depends on the country. But, yeah, that’s the general concept on the whole point of politicians public servants.
I’m an older Millennial and have fought so hard, fatigue and pessimism is setting in. I need to remember there’s fresher and faster runners ready to take the torch on this push we started and back them with the optimism I never got. Lest, I be as much a damage as those before me.
I’d the empathy of narcissists cannot extend to any other individual that exists now, why would it extend to those that don’t exist yet?
