It’s better than not doing it. Per an NPR segment, the idea is to store enough that the net production of oil is carbon neutral. That’s better than not doing it, but it would be much better if we spent the money just in sequestration and not on making net zero production obviously.
…then pump it underground to help extract more oil. Fracking with a green paintjob and a PR overhaul.
