minus-square@Alexclink3•1 year agoI graduated as a mechanical engineer, but these days am the lead for a large Android project. Am I an engineer? Yes. Engineering is about coming up with solutions to problems where the solution is not always obvious, and a lot of software work can fall into this. If all you are doing as a coder is modifying the UI, or fixing a bug, this is not engineering. If you are designing the systems, you’re an Engineer.
