Sources close to the possible takeover of Rangers involving the San Francisco 49ers' investment wing say they expect a deal will be completed by June.

I grew up in Scotland supporting Glasgow Rangers. When I was 15 I started writing to a pen-pal in San Francisco the same time as Channel 4 showed “American Football”.

So, for me it’s surreal to see the potential merging of these two great times, financially at least.
