    What.

Oh. He only ruled that it didn’t violate state gambling laws. Musk can still be tried for violating national election laws.

I’d rather see him in federal prison, anyway. Maybe he’ll do an Epstein there.

They can still penalize him and the PAC, make an example of him for next time around, etc. The election being over doesn’t mean Elon’s suddenly in the clear and the legal action is dropped. No different than if Trump loses and ends up back in court again for all the lawsuits he can’t delay any longer for election reasons.

Not to mention that Elon’s lawyer is making it worse by trying to claim it wasn’t a lottery to begin with. They’re claiming that every paid winner was actually preplanned and a spokesperson, so they’re basically admitting to scamming everyone who signed up for “the lottery.” Also admitting that it wasn’t actually open to every registered voter in a swing state, if they’re now claiming everyone was picked and a paid spokesperson. This is a time delay FAFO.

          • Yeah, if Trump doesn’t win. And if Kamala wins, then if he can drag the case out until the next election, there’s a chance she’ll lose the next one and he’ll get a chance at a pardon. If Trump wins, I doubt the Justice department will prosecute.

There is no way in hell he will drag it to the next election. Only reason he could do that this time is because they took a very, very long time to build the case, and it was close enough to this election that he could play those cards through Cannon and the Supreme Court.

All the cases are built now, they are ready to go. If he loses twice in a row then his claim of a political “mandate” to anything or that he should be saved for another shot at the presidency is over, and his current scheduled sentencing and further prosecution can begin.

And yes, if he wins, probably none of this will happen.

So go vote against him, everyone.

Also, fun fact, since he’s facing state charges of violating state laws, and not federal, Trump couldn’t pardon Elon or get him off the hook even if he does win. At least, not without some corruption involved.

Yep, we are now officially the dumbest country.

Still remains to be seen if Elon gets out of state charges though. Or if they’re still willing to withstand wrath for justice. Trump still couldn’t officially do anything about that without unconstitutional threats.

Listen, man. Nothing is ever going to happen to these guys. Nothing! The sooner everyone realizes that, the sooner they’ll stop being disappointed all the time.

He will happily pay any slap on the wrist fine by discounting the government’s account payables with a markup elsewhere to cover the difference. It’s like the government is fining itself in a circle jerk. Maverick feudal lords sure are great!!! FML
