Why not. But I didn’t get the feeling that the intention was to feel bad/uneasy about the rapey stuff, but that it was normal from the author’s POV.
I remember the first time I read it I kinda managed to finish it regardless, but recently I wanted to re-read it and I just stopped 20 chapters before the end.
