“After extensive consultation, discussion, and deliberation, the American Muslim 2024 Election Task Force has decided to encourage American Muslims to vote for any presidential candidate of their choosing who supports a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and a US arms embargo on the Israeli government, such as candidates Dr Jill Stein, Dr Cornel West or Chase Oliver,” read the statement, obtained by Middle East Eye.

The statement was written by the American Muslim 2024 Election Task Force, an umbrella group formed this year that consists of a number of prominent Muslim organisations including the political arms of Americans for Justice in Palestine (AJP), Cair, and the US Council of Muslim Organizations.

“We cannot endorse Vice President Kamala Harris’ candidacy because of her refusal to even consider imposing the arms embargo on the Israeli government required by US laws and her failure to promise any other changes whatsoever to President Biden’s failed policy of steadfast financial, diplomatic and military support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza,” the statement read.

I don’t think you understand; I’m not joking. If you legitimately see such ridiculous conspiracies that easily and then fervently hold on to them, accusing the people who disagree with you of being in on it, you should see a psychiatrist (or tell the current one about this dynamic). I don’t know what it is or what more you should do about it, that’s for a professional to figure out. Obviously I don’t think you’ll listen to me on that, I’m just trying to convey my earnestness.

I feel more comfortable making fun of people who – while sometimes probably mentally ill the same degree that I am – are able to talk about a common reality. Making fun of foolishness is enjoyable, making fun of illness is cruel.

Try getting linkerbaan to criticise trump. You’ll find the conversation quickly turns to how awful Harris is.

This part I’ll touch on because it’s a common misconception among liberals like yourself, especially on .world. We communists don’t spend an especially large portion of our time criticizing Trump because what is wrong with Trump is obvious, not because we secretly like him. We do still criticize him though and have threads on a daily basis (headlines allowing) talking about what a dumb chauvinist he is. This account is an alt for my Hexbear account, so I can mainly speak to that one. If you go to that website and search for threads on Trump, you’ll find plenty and they generally are filled with people making some combination of serious criticisms along with more frivolous ones about how the dumb shit he says is less funny than it used to be (like remember when he quoted “Two Corinthians” in front of some Christian university to try to pander to evangelicals? I was laughing for a week).

But aside from when some new story is especially heinous (like immigrants “eating pets”) and where it’s entertaining, Communists tend to find it more important to criticize Democrats not because they are worse but because they require more calling out. It’s like what Malcolm X said about the Wolf and the Fox, where the Wolf bares its teeth at you and you know immediately what your relationship to it is, but the Fox shows its teeth as a smile, as though it is trying to befriend you. Most people understand the Wolf (though some unfortunately still support it), many people misunderstand the Fox.

Try getting GarbageShootAlt2 to criticise the republican party. You’ll find the conversation quickly turns to how awful the democratic party is. It’ll tale a long time, but it will ALWAYS come back to that.

That wasn’t “now let me criticize Trump. Whoops! Kamala-posting!” That was me answering why communists are so keen to criticize democrats, while also explaining that they do criticize Republicans. That entails covering both subjects, so you’re just attacking me for answering a question as though it was a completely different prompt.

        dismissive

God forbid I be dismissive to someone going on rants about how his enemies are secret agents. You literally just don’t understand how people communicate and turned it into a conspiracy theory.

You think republicans aren’t all over your instance lying to convince folks like you to not vote democratic? That’s naive. That’s really naive.

You think Republicans bother with a few thousand nobodies on a niche platform? That’s self-important. That’s really self-important.

You probably think putin is a communist!

You’re a fucking idiot with no ability to understand other people’s interiorities. No communist believes this.

Only some useful idiot neoliberals do, and even among them it is rare.

Edit: I disagree with the removal, but I won’t lose sleep over it. You were, it must be stressed, accusing someone of being a secret Republic operator with your “evidence” being them saying “cope” to you once.
