Anyone still using twitter should be considered far right,

Changing platforms can be a death sentence for an entrenched artist. Also, Threads is a miserable experience, Mastodon’s decentralized nature makes it confusing to navigate (especially for the olds), and BlueSky simply doesn’t have enough content to engage people at the same level.

It’s ironic, but a big chunk of the trans community is effectively stranded on Twitter purely thanks to decision paralysis. They all want to leave but nobody has enough sway to send them in the same direction.

Maybe if Elon can get himself banned in a few more countries. BlueSky got 3 million brazilian new users practically overnight last week.

Same reason as everybody else: because everybody else is still there. I’m almost alone on my Mastodon, Bluesky, Threads, and Tumblr.

Almost no one has ethical ownership as a priority when picking a social media, the deciding factor is always who else is on there. Weirdos like you and me are way ahead of the adoption curve.

I believe that fediverse platforms are superior, they’re more structurally resilient and they will outlive Twitter and Reddit and all corporate social media; but that’s a bet on the long run.

Apparently lol. I think daniskarma is just looking for a public stoning. Obviously the vast majority of Xitter users are not there to engage in US politics and be placed on the political spectrum.

This is what happens when people circlejerk too much, they make insincere claims like that and get updoots. They’ve trained themselves to lash out at anyone.and.anything they don’t like. Hell, I bet you’re getting shit for using Xitter.in other replies… Edit: Yuuuup!
