One of Weber’s main intellectual concerns was in understanding the processes of rationalisation, secularisation, and disenchantment. He formulated a thesis arguing that such processes were associated with the rise of capitalism and modernity. Weber died in 1920. Fascism had literally only existed by name for a year before he died. He was not arguing about fascism, hence fascism never being mentioned on that Wikipedia page.

This was what I was responding to, and the way it’s worded it seemed (to me at least) they were saying capitalism is barely a century old.
Were they? That parses as “fascism, an outgrowth of capitalism, is a century old”.
