This does 18tps on 2x R9700:
[Qwen3.6-27B-Q8_0-Code-256K]
m = /models/Qwen3.6-27B/Qwen3.6-27B-Q8_0.gguf
mmproj = /models/Qwen3.6-27B/mmproj-BF16.gguf
chat-template-kwargs = {"preserve_thinking": true}
ctx-size = 262144
temp = 0.6
top-p = 0.95
top-k = 20
min-p = 0.0
presence-penalty = 0.0
repeat-penalty = 1.0
This does 39tps on the same hardware:
[Qwen3.6-27B-MTP-Q8_0-Code-256K]
m = /models/Qwen3.6-27B-MTP/Qwen3.6-27B-Q8_0.gguf
mmproj = /models/Qwen3.6-27B-MTP/mmproj-BF16.gguf
spec-type = draft-mtp
spec-draft-n-max = 2
chat-template-kwargs = {"preserve_thinking": true}
ctx-size = 262144
temp = 0.6
top-p = 0.95
top-k = 20
min-p = 0.0
presence-penalty = 0.0
repeat-penalty = 1.0
😱

Obvious consent manufactoring is obvious.

And he thinks the US will control the energy, chips and computing infrastructure in the future? Sure Europe isn’t in a great position at all, but the US’es future leadership isn’t all that obvious.
The amount of defense of lobbying in this thread is interesting.

Only 46%? I thought he got more.

If you don’t find one, make one.

Brilliant shit. I too am looking forward to moving my family to a self-hosted alternative. /s

I too have herpes. That’s all I can think of when I read simplex.

The server is also open source. (No guarantees the actual server is running that codebase, as is always the case with servers, but the codebase is out there)

It’s worse. We’ve gotten some hard earned concessions from the ruling class, especially from labour organizing resurgence around the Great Depression, and they’ve been rolling back since the 70s. We’re backsliding from legitimate gains.

This was a major part of our EV/battery supply chain plan. Another failure in a string of failures.

It’s not mindless rejection. It´s just the argument taken one step further - the system we live in will put the fruits of AI into corporate and therefore capital’s (the bad actors) hands, along with the power and control that come with it. We won’t reap much of the benefits and we’ll suffer the costs. Without a fundamental change to the system we take that as the almost certain outcome. Hence the rejection. I think the rejection would change with a material change in the system.

Run.
ProtonPass is run by a non-profit if you have to move to another hosted solution.
Otherwise there’s multiple self-hostable options, including plain file sync options.
Use this example as learning experience that the type of the firm you’re buying a service from is very important as it changes whose interests it puts first, second and last.
For a moment I thought this is in my neighbourhood. These plazas are all the same throughout North America.

And foreign investment consists of selling ownership of domestic capital to foreign owners. Owners who collect domestic profit and export it, and exercise control in the interest of foreign entities. Words that rarely go along with the celebration of foreign investment but are the other side of the coin.

This clown also wants to build a dc in Alberta, over a gas field that’s otherwise unprofitable to extract. He’ll be burning it on-site.

Well he considers Thomas Sowell an insightful thinker so… That said, there’s a strategic ally line between marxists and capitalists around market failures that necessitate gov’t intervention to “improve capitalism” or solve “crony capitalism” or whatever the fuck cope they want to call it. We just don’t have to tell 'em it works as intended and instead ally on concrete results around market failure. We don’t have to smear their faces in our superior understanding of the system. You don’t tell a kid that half the things you teach them at the age of 5 is half-true. :D

Don’t insult sewage treatment plants. They’re vital infrastructure.
The idea that government steals from people (in principle) is nonsense. The work done by gov’t employees is no differet than the work done by Loblaws (Big Grocer) employees. There’s almost always less value that comes back to us from profitable private corporations because the net income often disappears from the economy. Sometimes in Galen’s castle, other times it goes offshore into the multinational black hole.
I am saying this as someone who is in a high tax bracket.
If you can do work the gov’t needs done - apply and do the work. The public sector is there because the private sector can’t or won’t do all society needs for reasonable prices. Especially so when the private sector shits the bed in a depression, like it used to do regularly a century ago, till we built a public sector to wipe its ass.
