1·1 day agoIs that the one where they still rot in hell but they get cookies from time to time?
Had to translate that, but I think what you said was funny.
Whats with the third guy from the left at the top handing off knives to babies?

No, his backers want a holy American empire. Trump is an opportunist merely looking for self enrichment.

7·3 days agoAn absurdity of what the Pope being tough on crime would look like. Dressing up as batman and punching bad guys? An absurd level of toughness on crime.
But for the pontius pilate stuff, the whole crucifixion came about as an execution for the crime ginned up by the Sanhedrin (a Jewish judicial body).

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Christians of Lemmy, how do you feel about the U.S. president posting an Al photo of him as Christ?English
18·3 days agoWell the “that” could be that the friend’s comment was that the image was insulting to Catholics, or the “that” could be referring to the specific reaction. It basically needed some better comma usage because there is a difference between:
His reaction was, that the image was, insulting to the Catholic religion and blasphemous.
and
His reaction was that, the image, was insulting to the Catholic religion and blasphemous.
I guess the vagueness comes from the double “was” usage.

You friend’s reaction to the image was insulting and blasphemous? Or, was his reaction to the image itself was insulting and blasphemous?

3·3 days agoIt depends on the loan. A regular loan will probably end, but a student loan isn’t even dischargable by the heat death of the universe. It even said so in paragraph 32.3(A)(18)[c] of the loan documents.

It really depends.
Merely saying that the administration needs to be guillotined isn’t illegal because its protected by the Constitution’s First Amendment.
However, such rhetoric loses such protection when it starts to manifest a particularity. So, saying “Guillotine Republicans because they fucking deserve it” is protected. Statements like “Guillotine Republican X at his address Y at Z p.m.” is not.
