In case people aren’t aware, the annual Fediverse Canvas pixel-placing event is this weekend, starting at July 12th at 4am UTC.
Might this provide opportunities to promote the Fediverse on Reddit, either in something like r/RedditAlternatives, or in individual subreddits?
It could provide a change from the usual “you should try this Reddit alternative” to “come participate in this fun event, and by the way, it’s also a Reddit alternative”.
While the remaining redditors aren’t always the easiest folks to convince to switch over, I feel like there’s still a fair bit of love for r/place on the platform. How can we make the most of this?
