    Um. If the goal is to fix the environmental issues, wouldn’t it be better to ask the local indigenous folk what the forest should look like? A monoculture of fruit trees isn’t going to help the local flora and fauna recover. I’m fact, it will probably make the environmental issues worse.

        I don’t know the specifics of this local area but usually it’s not the indigenous people driving deforestation in the Amazon. Not to say it couldn’t be in this case but I definitely wouldn’t assume that.

        That said, I still like the idea of this project even if it’s a little unconventional. We may need unconventional ideas in this era of ecological collapse.

        Maybe if I need to escape the gestapo I’ll join on lol

    Amazon Restore is a great name! By looking around in their website it seemed to me like an interesting project.

    Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to find out who they are, or at least how they organise, and how they get money for this effort. If you have better luck on these topics, please share the links.
