      1. set it alight
      2. watch it burn. Mourn the loss of an evolved ecosystem.
      3. recognize a dead zone
      4. dodge mudslides as things depending on solid ground also fail (ohai america)
      5. wait a generation (1-3 year for forests)
      6. see what grows – note in the changing climate, it’s not gonna be like before

      I don’t recommend it if things have to live there during the process.
