Voters of Tomorrow said it bought the URLs GenZforTrump.org and GenZforHaley.org to educate people about the candidates’ “overwhelmingly unpopular” visions.
Semi-rural High school teacher here. They like his easy answers to everything. They like the strong man attitude and his harsh language. They are outspoken about hating Biden for "ruining the economy "
This is the true story. They never hear another viewpoint in their lives, ever. They just repeat what the angry people at church and their Karen/Chad parents say at every opportunity.
If most Americans don’t see any benefit, it isn’t a strong economy. It’s an economy that meets certain metrics that the ownership class tells us indicate a “strong economy”, because those metrics actually indicate an economy that benefits them.
I would hope this goes without saying, but if course it doesn’t, so: I fully understand that either Trump or Haley would make it worse. I also think Biden has been much better than I ever expected, and his economic gains - once we get past the inflation - will translate far more to most Americans than some past, more neoliberal economic gains did. It’s a damn shame that the political climate isn’t to the point yet where we can demand more substantial measures, but what we’ve got is surprisingly OK.
I just think it’s important to remember that the concept of a “strong economy” has been heavily propagandized.
Are they also like “how would people fall for Hitler’s easy answers and scapegoating? I would never be so stupid”? Or are they more like “you know, he had some good ideas”?
Well, considering how successful conservatives have been at corrupting school lesson plans, they probably have very little understanding of what Hitler and the nazis really did
There were many at the time that didn’t really believe some of the crazier shit Hitler was saying. They thought he was on “their” side because they liked a lot of what he said… It wasn’t until after he fully seized power that they realized how bad they ducked up.
It’s SCARY how closely history is repeating itself with Trump.

So they’re morons.
Repeating what their idiot parents say

“These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West.”
“You know… morons”
Sad thing is the economy outside of the inflation is really strong. Most Americans just don’t see any benefit from a strong economy anymore.

Do they even know what “the economy” is?
Doesn’t matter. They think they do.
