As the first jury found that Trump sexually abused Carroll in the 1990s and then defamed her in 2022, the new trial concerns only how much more — if anything — he’ll be ordered to pay her for some other remarks.

    If they are enough of an unreasonable asshole it can come up in appeal though.

    I would imagine using language bigoted against a protected class would not help their decision stick.
