minus-squareEcho Dotlinkfedilink1•edit-21 year agoFood calories and scientific measurement calories are different. It’s literally in the first paragraph of the article. The small calorie or gram calorie was defined as the amount of heat needed to cause the same increase in one gram of water.

A calorie is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature one kg of water by 1°C, so uranium has quite a few, hard to digest though.
